CareOS + Zoom: add, use & remove

The CareOS Telehealth app connects your clinic's Zoom account so telehealth visits booked in CareOS automatically become real Zoom meetings — created, updated, and canceled in lockstep with your schedule.

In short: connect once from Settings → Integrations, and every confirmed telehealth visit gets a Zoom join link on the visit, in patient confirmations, and in reminders. Reschedules update the meeting; cancellations delete it. Disconnect any time from the same screen or from your Zoom account's app list.

What you need

Adding the app

  1. In CareOS, open Settings → Integrations → Connected accounts.
  2. Click Connect next to Zoom.
  3. You'll be sent to Zoom to sign in (if needed) and approve the requested permissions.
  4. Click Allow. You'll land back in CareOS with the connection shown as Connected, labeled with the Zoom account's email.

Each clinic workspace connects its own Zoom account. Nothing is shared across workspaces.

Using the integration

If Zoom is ever unreachable, CareOS falls back to a placeholder telehealth link so booking never fails; the visit can be re-synced once the connection is restored.

What the app can access

The integration requests the minimum scopes needed to do the above: create, update, and delete meetings it created, plus reading the connected user's profile (name and email) once — only to label the connection in Settings. OAuth tokens are stored encrypted server-side, scoped to your clinic workspace. CareOS never accesses meeting content, recordings, chat, or attendee data.

Removing the app

Two ways, either is enough:

  1. From CareOS: Settings → Integrations → Connected accounts → Disconnect next to Zoom. This deletes the stored tokens immediately.
  2. From Zoom: sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace → Manage → Added Apps, find CareOS Telehealth, and click Remove.

After removal, existing Zoom meetings created by CareOS remain on your Zoom account (we don't bulk-delete your calendar), but CareOS stops creating, updating, or deleting meetings. Reconnecting later restores full sync for new visits.
